Gardening Calendar

The plants from which cuttings are required for the next season should be cut back leaving just 5 cm from the ground. This will promote growth of suckers from the roots, and these suckers will be later used as cuttings.

Simar, pansy and petunia seed can be planted now, and the seedlings for pansy and petunia are available at the nurseries but would suggest to wait for another week or 10days before buying the seedlings as they are very small right now. Refer to my post below from 2011, I had planted them very late in mid december, but mid november is the right time. http://www.desifellow.com/2011/12/transplated-dahlia-petunia-and-pansy.html
Hope this will help you.
